Young Kaleb a War Amps Champs driver was our very first World Champion. It was 2006. We are happy to say he is doing very well in school and plays soccer.

A Hot Sunny Day was super enjoyable for the drivers and all the people who watched the races. The festivities were opened by the Vancouver Police Pipe Band, the official pipe band of the Friends of Ferrari.
Volunteers from the Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs of South Coast B.C came out to be the driver’s pit crew. Thank you Emily and Jen.
The Drivers: Ava, Gianluca, Bryden, Alex, Ryian, Steven, Logyn, Kenton and Lyana.
The Winners: 1st. Logyn; 2nd. Lyana; 3rd. Brayden.

Our special guest was Katja Colturri, an Olympian from Italy, who was visiting Vancouver with her husband Fausto and their two children Luca and Lucrezia. Katja was our official race starter. We met Katja at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics when she was a commentator for RAI during the games.

GALA LUNCHEON 2014
The Friends of Ferrari held their annual Gala Luncheon in October and the keynote speaker was The Honourable Judith Guichon, OBC,
Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia. We thank her for her very kind words about Friends of Ferrari.

On February 22, 2014 we held a special meeting with the 2013 winning drivers and their families. We distributed a very special gift to each driver and we thank everyone who made this gift possible.
We were very sad to hear that Michael Schumacher, 7 times Formula 1 World Champion, had sustained serious injury while skiing and we send him our prayers for a full recovery.

There are no charges or fees for a child to become a driver in any of our races. Our purpose is to raise money for a variety of charitable organizations. The drivers in past years have helped us to raise over $1,800,000.00. Each driver receives a medal, and a small gift from Ferrari.
